Starfall

When an interdimensional being threatens to destroy the universe, a star falls out of the sky in the shape of a heroine with one last chance to divert fate!

  • Co-Project coordinator

    • Ran meetings​ and Scrum

    • Organised work between strike teams

  • Level designer​

    • Responsible for a desert level from block out to gold.​

    • Level co-ordination making sure the tech and design of levels was uniform.

    • Developed modular kits with art to get a lot of use and to tie the different worlds together​

    • Worked with technical artists to test out and design procedural tools

It was certainly a challenge ​​to create open world sandbox levels with little determined progression. We made four open ended levels with a certain number of points of interest and one Boss level that will always appear last. We made more but ended up cutting most of them and kept the ones that worked best and had the most character. It was inspiring to see so many talented people work to make something fun with all pressure of our portfolios taken off. It allowed us to have fun with it and I think we ended up making something really special.
